Everlasting Style: Tiles That Transform Spaces - A Look Back at This Trendsetting Project.
Follow me on a little trip down memory lane to revisit one of our most enchanting projects! Why? The tiles we chose are not just withstanding the test of time—they’re setting trends!
Let me set the scene with a touch of Japanese flair that’s been catching eyes lately. Our market has recently been blessed with an influx of captivating new Japanese-inspired tiles (some actually from Japan). The Wabi-Sabi movement is everywhere. It’s the perfect backdrop to talk about a project that was, quite frankly, ahead of its time: a visionary build that seamlessly integrated some of the most stunning tiles from our collection at the Tile Shed.
A Nod to Timelessness:
What’s truly remarkable about these tiles is their timeless appeal. Chosen for this Havelock Hills property in 2022, they have stayed on trend and become even more popular. It’s like we anticipated the future of tile trends! Their durability and stylish versatility mean they continue to inspire new projects and renovations.
The Project in Detail:
This breathtaking build by D’Ath Construction, with stunning shots captured by Hazel Redmond, showcases our tiles in all their glory. From the moody-textured tiles in the bathroom that create a serene, spa-like atmosphere to the sleek and visually intriguing kitchen and gin bar—every corner of this project is a testament to thoughtful design and exceptional tile selection.
The Tiles:
Artisan Finger Mosaic in Thunder: This unique feature tile, with its distinctive texture and deep hues, bring a dynamic visual depth that is both sophisticated and striking—a true masterpiece in mosaic form. It was the perfect choice for the bathroom feature wall.
Klif Dark Matt was selected for the bathroom floor and walls. This porcelain marvel is inspired by the rugged Beola stone from Italy’s Val d'Ossola. This tile offers the rustic charm of natural stone with none of the upkeep. Imagine having the luxury of Italian elegance with no sealing or scrubbing required—pure bliss!
Kyoto Concave Charcoal Gloss: The kitchen and gin bar have never looked more stylish. This mosaic is a showstopper, adding a touch of geometric glamour that complements the sleek, modern aesthetics of this culinary space.
Niagara Ivory Grip: For the outdoor deck, this tile provided the perfect blend of functionality and style, echoing the stone’s texture while contrasting beautifully with the wood elements around.
The Takeaway:
This project was a bold statement in design. The tiles aren’t just covering spaces; they’re creating experiences, setting trends, and proving that with the right choice, style is indeed timeless.
